The prestigeous SDE awards, presented by the Social Dialogue & Work place Cooperation Unit of the Department of Labour and Industrial Relations, is the top national accolade for honoring companies for work place harmony.

The TJL Group who had successfully concluded the acquisitions of Quenby Lanka Private Ltd. (QBL), on 1st September 2015 completed its second takeover of Ocean India Private Ltd. (OCI), recorded a consolidated revenue of Rs. 4.0 billion with a net profit of Rs. 468 Million for the quarter ending 30th September 2015.

Sweeps several awards including Overall Silver Winner
Teejay (TJL) reported a net profit of Rs. 206mn for the quarter ended 30th June 2015 (1Q FY 2015/16), a commendable overall profit growth of 26% year on year. According to Mr. Bill Lam, Chairman of TJL, the company achieved two key strategic milestones during the year; announcing the acquisitions of Ocean India (Private) Limited (OCI) and Quenby Lanka Prints (Private) Limited (QLP).

Wins prestigious "Firm of the Year" title at the World Textile Awards and brings glory to the Sri Lankan Apparel Industry
Teejay (TJL) emerged the overall victor at the World Textile Awards in London, by winning the topmost award across all categories and being bestowed the much sought after global title 'Firm of The Year.' Apart from the highest honour, Teejay also won the World's Top Spot in their respective category award as 'Dyer & Finisher of the Year.'
Teejay (TJL) was selected as the 'National Winner' in the Manufacturing Textiles, Apparel and Leather Products category at the recently concluded Business Excellence Awards (NBEA) organized by the National Chamber of Commerce. The company was also selected as the 'National Runners-up' for Excellence in Environmental Sustainability.

Teejay (TJL) reported a net profit of Rs. 376mn for the quarter ended 31st December 2014 (3Q FY2014/15), a significant increase of 25% compared to the corresponding period of last year. The company’s strong cash position has allowed TJL to maintain its trend of generous dividend pay-outs with Rs. 0.50 per share being declared as an interim dividend for FY2014/15.

Teejay, Sri Lanka’s leader of in manufacturing of high quality weft knitted fabric, was recognized with the Gold Award for the Textile Category at the National Green Awards Ceremony held at the BMICH recently. The award was presented by President Mahinda Rajapaksa, who graced the occasion, at which the country’s highest Environmental Awards are presented.

Teejay was praised at the 4th annual Energy Efficiency Awards 2013 concluded on December 12th evening at the BMICH. The company won a merit award for the Energy Efficiency Award for large scale, a feat that no other apparel or fabric manufacturer has achieved so far. Also note that no gold or silver award was presented under large scale manufacturing.

Marking the first VVIP visit for the year, Bridget Ryan Berman the CEO for VSD visited Teejay on April 24th. She was accompanied by Merry Allen Prentice, the Executive Vice President of PINK, Chris Kennedy - the Ass Vice President of production and Sourcing for VSD and Valerie Keast..the Ass Vice President merchandising clothing for VSD. The delegates were accompanied by MAST officials in Sri Lanka. Teejay is the biggest knit suppler for VSD and for YOGA - PINK in south east Asian region.
Rendezvous India - 2012

Teejay Participated in the INVISTA sponsored Rendezvous - India 2012 which was organized mainly to develop a dialogue with the Indian leading domestic brands for Intimate apparel. The exhibition was held in Delhi from April 17th to 18th and was a success as TJL was able to make a mark with the Indian buyers.

In our continuous passion and journey towards building a better world Teejay took part in EARTH WALK which is also known as National Road to Rio +20 campaign. This is an initiative endorsed by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and AOD is involved in organizing a youth walk on the 1st of April.
This targets sending a Sri Lankan delegation for the international Rio summit this July.
During the visit at Rio our brand will be shown as a green responsible corporate citizen by the Sri Lankan delegation. During the walk students were wearing TJL fabrics which were done on a sustainable theme.

Teejay has become the first manufacturing entity in Sri Lanka to embark on process improvements leading to compliance with the ISO 14064 environmental standard on reducing Greenhouse Gas emissions.
Teejay at Brandix Vendor Summit
Teejay emerged as the winner in the Category of the Most Flexible partner category at the Brandix Vendor Summit held at Cinnamon Grand on Nov 2nd 2011. TJ was also nominated for other categories as the "best - vendor - fabric" and the most innovative Vendor in fabrics.
Brandix has over 300 vendors in 15 countries and is the largest Apparel Manufacturer in Sri Lanka.
